Steveston Community Art Wrap

Steveston is a beloved neighbourhood in a historic fishing town; it also happens to be where I grew up! I was thrilled when the City of Richmond invited me to create artwork for the construction site of the new Steveston Community Centre.

After leading in-person and online community engagements, I distilled the themes and specific stories to inform the artwork. The result is a series of 8 illustrated panels that are rich with community representation and a true celebration of what makes this place so special.

• Inspired by community stories we heard in in-person and online engagement I planned & facilitated

• Final size of the 8-panel artwork totals 6’x80’

• I went to pre-school in this community centre - so you know this project meant a lot 💚
